Charming Old Town home in the heart of Key West. Located on Southard Street just steps from Duval's many restaurants and bars. You are in walking distance to museums, shopping, and Fort Zachary Taylor beach. Relax on the front porch and watch the people walk by while sipping a cocktail or reading a book.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS AND FURNISHINGS...
This home has a beautiful, large master suite with king size bed just off the front porch with an adjoining spacious bath that offers a shower and a hanging closet. Although the room is surrounded by windows that fills the room with soft, natural light, there are also blinds that offer privacy and shade for guests. There is a flat screen and dresser for your convenience. Youtube TV service is available in this home.
Walk up the spiral staircase to find 2 twins beds in a quiet loft, that can convert to a king, overlooking the kitchen and sitting area which has a pull out couch for two additional guests. The updated private guest bathroom is located just off the renovated kitchen and has a glass tile shower. The kitchen is fully equipped for meal preparation and serving and has a breakfast bar for 2, stainless steel appliances, and custom cabinetry. The guest room has a queen size bed with a hanging closet, luggage rack, flat screen and a dresser.
POOL AND OUTDOOR LIVING...
French doors open to the private 40' heated pool with a back deck and four lounge chairs where you can spend the day in peace and quiet under the tropical landscaping. The back deck also has a grill and table that are ideal for dining Al Fresco. Your best friend can enjoy the fully fenced yard in this pet friendly home as well.
PARKING...
This home does not have designated parking but there is on street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Please refrain from parking in spots marked “residential”. Guests may also park at the Old Town Parking Garage which allows daily and monthly rates.
Simonton Beach is 0.16 mi.
Fort Zachary Taylor Beach is 1.1 mi.
South Beach is 0.8 mi.
Higgs Beach is 1.2 mi.
Smathers Beach is 2.3 mi.

This was a last minute booking for us and Shana our property manager was awesome. The property was just what me and my husband needed. Plenty of linens and supplies. Home was very clean. Pool was great, especially after a long day of adventures before you head back out for a late dinner. If you’re familiar with Key West then you’ll agree this location is perfect. Beach days at Ft Zachary (buy a state park pass if you’re a fl resident), Duval is at your doorstep without the noise, restaurants galore. Parking wasn’t an issue for us, we walked almost everywhere. It was good to come back after a long hiatus from Key West and we’ll come back to Lost Shaker of Salt!

This home is exactly as advertised. We stayed four days and did not get a car. We walked everywhere. For the most part the walking distance is less than a mile to the Key West attractions you will want to see. Uber arrives in two minutes if you elect to Uber. The sunset from Mallory Square is a must do. The house functioned very well for the three adults that were there. The host is easy to reach and very helpful. There were no issues checking in and out. I worked one morning from the back porch over looking the heated pool. The WiFi signal is strong. TVs in all rooms downstairs. Would select this home again. Thank you Shana! We had a wonderful time at your property.

This was our 5th stay here - we love everything about this house. My favorite is the private yard and pool, and the location can't be beat. Convenient to everything. Sarabeth's is right on the corner and you have a great wine shop on Simonton (UVA Wine). We are already booked for 2023.

This house was the cutest place! There was 6 of us and we managed great. The pool was beautiful and very private. The proximity to Duvall was perfect as well. The concierce service was great as well. We used it for scooter rentals. The only feedback is parking. You will need to arrange parking, which we did, a couple blocks away. We never needed our vehicle so it wasn’t an issue. We will definitely be back!

The location of this cottage cant be beat. Just 2 blocks from Duval. Check in is a breeze. However,, parking is very difficult. If youre lucky enough to get a spot, guaranteed it wont be there when you return. There are driveways available to some properties but no one is allowed to park in those either. The house is well-decorated and was very clean. Not sure why but there are NO cups or glasses at all in the kitchen...? The beds are fairly comfy and rooms are spacious. Pool is a nice place to cool off. Overall super cute place with only a few improvements needed to make it perfect.

We stayed over a long weekend here and had such an amazing time. You can’t beat the location. We felt close enough to walk to everything but far enough that we felt we could also escape and relax when we wanted. Our only issue was a broken stove/oven but the property manager was great and had it fixed as quickly as she possibly could. I would definitely recommend this house!

Everything about the Lost Shaker was great. Pool was great, location was great, property was very clean and updated! The only suggestion for those booking - the loft sleeping area - very low ceilings so best if used for children.

This was our 2nd time staying here and we absolutely enjoyed it as much as the 1st time. There were 7 of us, 2 of the boys were 2021 graduates and this trip was for them. The only issue we had was the shower by the kitchen does not have good water pressure or it may just need a stronger shower head. Some things need a little work or maintenance but it was nothing that would keep us from returning! Our stay was not long enough and next time we will be staying longer! Until next time... everything is better in the keys!

We really enjoyed the privacy and landscaping in the backyard, and drank our coffee out there every morning. You can’t beat the location, so many great restaurants, bars, the beach, and activities were all in walking distance. The property management was great with communication and very friendly. I would definitely rent again if back in Key West!

Very cute house, great location and staff was very professional and great communication. The only down side was the dryer, loud and didn't dry very well. But overall I would defiantly recommend to others and stay there again.

The house was great! only one block away from Duval. Parking wasn't ideal. The only thing missing was at least one reserved parking for the house.

The house was wonderful for our group of 4. The house is ideally located near many of the main bars and restaurants of Duval but is also nicely tucked away from the noisy streets and crowds. Check in was easy, the house was beautiful and clean and the pool area was a wonderful place to unwind or prepare for the day's adventures. Finally our property manager, Shana, was highly responsive and helpful, she made the entire check in and check out process a breeze. Overall I highly recommend this property for groups of 4-6!

Stayed with our family of 8 - included father and sister in law. The home sleeps 8 but the sofa bed is in the open kitchen area and can get loud at night, so that area would be best for kiddos or whoever stays up the latest! The loft area with the twin beds is an open area and is probably better suited for kids - our teenage boys loved it up there. We loved this home, especially the private pool area in the backyard which was perfect for the hot days and nights. It was within walking distance to all we wanted to see and do (Cuban Coffee Queen is one block away) and would absolutely stay here again.

Loved the house -even better in person than in the images-great location to walk anywhere -close enough to Duval -but just removed enough to explore other neighborhoods off the main drag. Perfect for small group of 4 but can also be good for up to 6. Dog friendly was a huge bonus so we could travel with our pups!

What is not to like about the "Lost Shaker of Salt"? My friends and I really enjoyed our 4 night stay. Perfect size for 5 adults, great location to all the bars and restaurants on Duval St., rental was very clean and the pool was excellent. Management team was on top their game. Not only is this property just beautiful and perfect, it is incredible in location. 2 blocks from the middle of Duval and has a very private pool.. this is unheard of in key west. We only had to take Uber’s to and from the airport, we were able to walk literally everywhere else. The property managers went above and beyond to work with us and offered concierge services for anything and everything you could think of on the island. We will definitely be booking again here!

This house is so cute and is a perfect location from Duval street and all the great sites of Key West. The concierge service was helpful and accommodating. The pool is private and such a great place to spend time with friends. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious. There are pool towels and a couple pool floats there. Easy to get downtown and parking for the golf cart we rented was on the street. Several keys available for our group. Definitely recommend this place for any one wanting to be in the heart of Key West and close to everything.

The property had every amenity necessary and was walking distance to everything...including a grocery store. We never drove. The pool was a huge hit, especially in July. The room upstairs is very small (I couldn't stand up), but it was ok for the younger girls. Also, the property manager Brian was very thorough and responded to all questions immediately.
